The disclosure

This website may earn a commission when a visitor clicks a link to the official Horsewood store and completes a purchase. The commission is paid by the merchant and costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the same whether you arrive through this site or type the address directly.

This disclosure is made in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guidance, which requires material connections between a publisher and a product to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. It appears in the footer of every page on this site, not only here.

What the commission does not buy

An affiliate relationship is a real conflict of interest, and pretending otherwise would be worse than disclosing it. Here is how we manage it:

• We publish criticisms. Our reviews page lists the common complaints, and the homepage carries a two-column table naming the weakest value tier and the ingredients that rest on traditional evidence.
• We publish the undisclosed-dosage limitation and the Ginkgo blood-thinner interaction, even though neither helps a sale.
• We refuse the claims that convert best in this category — testosterone promises, ED treatment language and size claims. Those are unlawful and unsupported.
• We tell readers when a doctor is the right answer instead of a supplement — which loses sales and is still correct.
• We do not accept payment to alter, remove or soften a published assessment.

Why we disclose prominently rather than in fine print

Partly because the law requires it. Mostly because a supplement site that hides its commercial relationship has told you exactly how much weight to give everything else on it. A reviewer who has something to gain owes you the disclosure up front so you can weigh it yourself.
